All about the Roadshow
We’re taking our show on the road this spring! We’ll be visiting Columbus, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; and Easton, PA in April. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on with the latest in educational technology. There will be opportunities to test and explore interactive displays like Active Floor, Lü, and flat panels like SMART Boards. We will also be showcasing classroom robotics and coding kits like UBTECH, Birdbrain, Kai’s Clan, MAD-learn, and pi-top. Looking to add 3D printing to your offerings? Come check out top of the line printers from Formlabs! Maybe VR/AR is what you are looking for — in that case you’ll want to experience how Veative and Merge are bringing VR/AR to the classroom.
In addition to all of the fun technology, we’ll also be featuring pedagogical tools like project-based learning with iBlocks. Discover how to seamlessly incorporate edtech into meaningful, hand-on experiences for students. With iBlocks, students can put the academic knowledge they’ve learned in core subject areas to practical use in order to solve a problem, explore ideas, and build future-ready skills like collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Plus, iBlocks make learning fun with topics like creating a robotic class pet, designing a wacky Rube Goldberg Machine, building a model tiny home, or planning a Mars colony!
Looking for something to support your faculty? Stop by the Roadshow to discuss Teq’s online professional development platform, OTIS for educators, and in-person PD offerings. OTIS for educators offers courses on how to effectively integrate technology into instruction. Between our on-demand library of over 800 courses and calendar of live sessions, we make it easy to access hundreds of courses, with topics on STEM, SEL, literacy, ENL/ELL, and more. We are a Google for Education Partner, Microsoft Training Partner, and our PD is an ISTE Standards-aligned resource. Plus, we have a collection of free resources for educators including graphic organizers, lesson plans, student materials, and more! Our talented team of former classroom teachers can also deliver personalized PD to your team either in-person or virtually, as they are available for support via chat, phone, and email.
Special keynote session: Using a Startup Mindset in K-12
Presented by non other than Matt X Joseph, this session will focus on bringing innovative thinking into the classroom. Supporting digital learning and innovation in schools is challenging. Identify key elements critical to putting innovative leadership into action. Innovative instructors should try to create new ideas, but creating a culture of innovation is more important. Explore methods to empower your teachers in a safe and supportive environment of risk-taking, trust, and swift implementation. Innovative leaders not only “think” differently, but they “act” differently. Now is the time to act and put these innovative characteristics into action. This session will empower you to build a culture of innovation in your class and/or school.
Who should attend: curriculum leaders responsible for integrating technology into instruction and improving instructional outcomes, and school technology leaders interested in learning about the latest edtech innovations.
We’re excited to meet with educators to discuss the latest in educational innovation from edtech to PBL to PD and more. We’ll see you on the road!
