SMART vs. Sharp Aquos
Marketing Team
Video Resources
We are back with another installment of our now-famous interactive display comparison videos. Previous videos looked at the SMART Board versus the Promethean ActivPanel, and the SMART Board versus the Clear Touch Interactive. This time, the team compares the SMART Board 6065 with the Sharp Aquos Board.
As with our previous features, we look at the basics of both boards and compare them side-by-side. The real-time video speaks for itself, but here are a few of the things that jumped out at us.
Startup time: The SMART Board starts up faster than the Sharp display, but not by much. It’s no where near as bad as waiting for the Promethean to start.
Annotation: Writing in digital ink with simultaneous users was easy and intuitive on the SMART Board, and our staff was able to collaborate without any issues.
The Sharp, however, did not have the capacity to support multiple users as seamlessly. This is where the problems start. At about 30 seconds into the video, you can see the team struggling to perform a simple function — annotating over a picture in a web browser. How does this not just work? Then, after about a minute, there’s some progress. But it doesn’t appear that two students could easily work at this display at the same time.
ICYMI: As we have mentioned before in these features, Teq is a proud retailer of SMART Boards. When it comes to interactive displays, we haven’t been able to find a product that can compete with SMART.
If you’d like to try these displays, you can schedule a time to visit our showroom or schedule a demo with the Teq Squad.
