The New Jersey Association of School Administrators (NJASA) is sponsoring TECHSPO 2023, the largest conference in the state, attended by educators, superintendents, board members, and curriculum directors alike. Join us at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City, NJ from January 25-27 to take part in our PD session, attend our TECHSPO Pool Party with ClassLink, and discuss all Teq has to offer!

Events and Exhibitions

We’ll be located at booths 109 and 111 to answer questions about all our wonderful products and services. Come watch demonstrations on how you can integrate STEM products into your curriculum; sample our student-led, teacher-guided iBlocks PBL experiences; and see what our online and in person PD options can do for you!

Special Session Info

Additionally, our Professional Development and Curriculum staff members will be presenting a special session. Sessions will be held on both levels of the Waterfront Conference Center, in the Avalon rooms located on the second level.

Teaching Coding without the Code

Matthew Thaxter, Director of eLearning & Adam Fragale, Curriculum and Professional Development Support Specialist

Friday, January 27, 2023 | 10:30am – 11:30am

Avalon #16 | Session 12

Students as young as 1st grade can be introduced to coding concepts way before they ever maneuver their first block of code. In the session, we will show you how to teach coding concepts without the actual code! We will be demonstrating different techniques to get students to think like programmers so they can understand the functions behind writing code. With these basic techniques, students should be able to dive into actual coding with more confidence and better understanding of what code should do.

Make a Splash With Teq and ClassLink

Teq has partnered with ClassLink for a TECHSPO Pool Party! Located at The Pool at Harrah’s in the cabana area on 1/25 from 8PM-11PM, come chat with us over a drink, a bite to eat, and a live band! Conference attendees have until the evening of 1/24 to register for this event, so make sure to sign up at booths 109/111 if you have not done so!
