Why You’ll Love the Position
Teq cultivates a supportive, “Pod-based” sales environment where collaboration replaces internal competition. You won’t fight for leads; instead, you will “own” your specific territory, working in a strategic partnership with a Field Sales Representative to grow your region. We provide the training that enables you to become a Go-to Expert and Consultant that schools trust. While you will inherit a pipeline of pre-existing customers, you will have the autonomy to hunt for new opportunities, knowing that the products you represent are top-tier and backed by an honest, transparent sales philosophy.
The First 90 Days: Your Path to Success
In your first week…
- Master the Portfolio: Dive into Teq’s product and service offerings and practice consultative sales techniques.
- Systems Training: Get up to speed on our HubSpot CRM and automated communication tools.
- Build Your Network: Meet with different Teq departments to understand how to leverage internal resources for your customers.
In your first month…
- Strategic Planning: Create product presentations, outline your daily rhythm, and set personal milestones.
- Observe & Learn: Join “Teams” meetings and sales calls to see the Teq value proposition in action.
- Funding Fluency: Become familiar with K-12 funding sources and school budget cycles.
- The Art of the Quote: Collaborate on strategic territory plans and learn to build efficient, winning quotes.
Second month and beyond…
- Own Your Territory: Perfect your talking points and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Cultivate & Nurture: Manage your pipeline through daily phone, email, and teams interactions.
- Drive Revenue: Conduct web-based demos and schedule high-impact site visits for your outside sales teammate.
- Represent Teq: Identify new revenue streams and occasionally represent the company at regional trade shows or on-site events.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 3-5 years of sales experience, EdTech sales a plus.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
- Ambition to build a sales career with a positive, “coachable” attitude.
- Strong communications skills with the knack for building stong relationships from behind a desk.
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly collaborative, reliable, and driven by a sense of shared accountability.
- A robust work ethic and an open mind toward mastering new technology and funding landscapes.

- Base salary PLUS uncapped commission with opportunity to make over $100k+ your first year.
