Google Tools for Social Emotional Learning

Tuesday, January 25, 2022: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
ROOM: SOUTH 310 GH, Session Number: MMS2

Come and let’s draw a picture of how Google tools can be used in social emotional learning for students in both traditional and non traditional classrooms. We will explore multimedia and interactive approaches to help support the whole student. This will be done with brain breaks to promote cultural awareness and safe ways for self expression, collaboration and emotional check ins. Attend FETC on Tuesday, January 25th 1:30-4:30 pm to participate in our Mobile Mega Share Event. Learning enhanced with mobile and digital tools has exploded around the globe. Mobile MegaShare provides an active forum where educators share and learn from each other. Experts facilitate collaborative hands-on sessions rotating to 10 tables so participants can attend the topics that they find most interesting. The Mobile MegaShare event provides opportunities for conversation, reflection and evaluation on current research and professional practice to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning. Participation is included with a basic registration. BYOD.

STEM Chain Reaction Contraptions

Come and see how you can use common everyday items to create the next generation of high-tech thinkers. During this session we will explore the engineering design process and its application to re-imagine how emerging technology can be designed. Low Tech? No problem! Inspired by Prize-Winning Cartoonist, Rube Goldberg we will be building chain reaction contraptions and exploring how Project Based Learning can be used across all subject area’s and grade bands. Can’t wait to see you there!
